Portland Parish Church

The Portland Parish Church (Christ Church) is built on land indentured on 3rd September, 1836 by John Dean and Jane Brown. The land was given for the purpose of erecting a church. The Church is predominantly a brick structure with stone and masonry used for decorative purposes which was the style of that period.

This three storey building is rectangular in plan with steps on the interior to receive the second entrance. The Church also has a four storey tower which houses the belfry and clock.
