The site is operated by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust.

According to organizers, the vision for this 4th anniversary is that they will far exceed all other kite festivals over the past years. The promoters this year are promising far more than an entertaining production. The day will be packed with live experiences that will appeal to all senses: food, education, fashions, performing arts and beautiful kites. This year through the annual Kite Festival & Family Fun Day, organizers aim to increase awareness of the great importance of families playing together and the unity and strength that this will foster in especially children. Children learn from play. Their natural curiosity leads them to learn. It is what childhood is all about. Adults can add a great deal to their children’s development by allowing reasonable freedom to explore, providing interesting playthings and playing with their children frequently and the kite festival provides this opportunity.

Families can participate in all the activities planned. Activities will start from 10:00 a.m. There will be demonstration from the dynamic and talented Tivoli Marching Band, kite making and flying, bounceabout, Slides, donkey and horse back riding, face painting, rock climbing and a host of other entertainment.

The Grand stage area will come alive at 3:00 p.m. with cultural performances from Jamaica Cultural Development Commission gold and silver medal winners, magicians and talent show.
