Executive Director of the Jamaica National Heritage Trust (JNHT) Mrs. Laleta Davis Mattis (left) and Professor Verene Shepherd, chair of the JNHT, present copies of several books to Spanish Ambassador His Excellency Jesus Silva during a recent visit to his office. Among the books that the Ambassador received was the English translation of the book ‘Spanish Jamaica’ by Morales Padron which was published with the assistance of the Spanish Embassy and UNESCO.

The group also discussed the creation of a heritage trail with sites associated with the Spanish side of Jamaica’s heritage.
