The On December 6, 2016, the Cruise Ship, Pullmanture Monarch docked in the Kingston Harbour. This cruise ship carried approximately 2,700 passengers and is the largest Cruise ship to have docked in the Kingston Harbour. The visit of the Monarch made Tuesday the very first time that all four of Jamaica’s major ports were hosting cruise ships on the same day. The Jamaica National Heritage Trust was present to provide the visitors with a taste of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Jamaica through a display of Artefacts from our Taino population, Spanish occupation, and British occupation. This display was well received by the locals and visitors alike.
