Old Harbour Railway Station

Parish: St. Catherine

The Old Harbour Railway Station is a two-storey Jamaica/Georgian structure. The ground floor is a paved concrete passage lined with a row of timber posts that help to support both the zinc gable roof and the stationmaster's quarters. The ground floor has a combination of barn-like and solid recessed panel doors throughout. The windows are a combination of regular and arched windows with cast iron bars within the openings. The upper floor uses glass louver windows with a circular roof vent on either gable end of the zinc roof. The Old Harbour station was constructed around 1879.
